Many thanks for your feedback, I understand how frustrating this can be. Our team of Receptionists do try their best to keep patients informed when a GP is running a little late. Often patients require more than the allocated time slot to allow the doctor to provide the care and treatment they need. Michelle Payling Practice Manager

after rushing from work to get to the doctors in time for my appointment which was at 4:45 for my implant to be changed not only was i late going in for my appointment but also got told he couldnt do it because something hasnt been approved and that i should i got a phone call to cancel the appointment! after my appointment being canceld last week due to my doctor being ill for me to get another appointment for it then not to happen! i will not be recomending the surgery to family or friends, i am not happy with the lack of communication between patients and staff...it is so hard to get an apointment anyway as you ring at 8:30 onwards and by 9:00am all appointments have gone! personally i think there needs to more communication between patients and staff!

Thank you for taking the time to feedback your experience. I do understand your frustration regarding this situation. Firstly I would like to apologise for your initial appointment being cancelled due to myself being ill and that the new appointment was re-arranged incorrectly, the practice required an essential update to rule changes for family planning services related to the new Care Quality Commission. This area has now been rectified; again I’m sorry this was too late to help your own situation. I also understand how annoying it is to be kept waiting past an appointment time; we do try hard to keep to time but often patients require more than the allocated time slot to deal with their medical condition. I would like to reassure you the practice is continuing to work hard to improve access to medical services and our introduction of daily telephone triage has helped with this. Our Practice Manager would of course be happy to meet with you and discuss any of this further. We also have a patient participation group which you or any other patient is welcome to join in order to work with the practice towards continual improvement of our service. Best Wishes Dr McCoye

Meet and greet at reception if by nurse. Advice give. Text reminders good. Some day appointment difficult to get.
